CAN EAT!!"

On the second Saturday of each month, the Union Mills Learning
Center has an all-you-can-eat breakfast from 6 AM to 10 AM. This is an
all-volunteer effort. Breakfast costs $6.00. For this you get:
pancakes, biscuits, gravy, grits, country ham, bacon, sausage, liver mush, eggs,
orange juice and beverage. Each month, inventory is taken at the school.
The amount of food needed is decided on and ordered; and the kitchen and
cafeteria are prepped for the big day!
Volunteers are always needed and welcome.
On the morning of the breakfast, volunteers come in at 4:00 AM with hairnets,
aprons, and gloves to begin the breakfast preparations. There is a lot of
work involved in planning and preparing the breakfast; and we give a big
THANK YOU TO ALL.
This breakfast is delivered to plant employees.
It is also delivered free to approximately 20 shut-in families in the Union
Mills Community. Any income earned from the breakfast goes to help
off-set the operating expenses of the Union Mills Learning Center.
People from Union Mills and surrounding communities come to the
breakfast and enjoy company in the dining room with fellow neighbors.
